Core Values

EXPOSITORY PREACHING

We are committed to expositional preaching the whole counsel of God. You will find that the messages of our sermons are dictated by the meaning of the Text of Scripture. We believe that the Spirit of God uses the faithful preaching of the Word of God to build up the people of God.

“For the word of God is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing to the division of soul and of spirit, of joints and of marrow, and discerning the thoughts and intentions of the heart.”– Hebrews 4:12

CHRIST-EXALTING WORSHIP

We desire Christ to be exalted in our worship through song. We believe it is best that we sing to the Lord together as a congregation (Eph. 5:19). The dividing line is not whether a song is “traditional” or “contemporary,” but whether or not it exalts Christ.

“Oh come, let us sing to the LORD; let us make a joyful noise to the rock of our salvation!”– Psalm 95:1

INTENTIONAL COMMUNITY

We believe that it is right for God’s people live in intentional covenant community with one another. To worship, serve, and pursue holiness in the context of the local church is Christ’s desire for His people.

“And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near.”- Hebrews 10:24-25

LIVING ON MISSION

We desire that Christ be made known to all peoples everywhere. Therefore, we equip BBC members to be bold witnesses of Christ to their neighbors, and we raise up and send missionaries to carry the gospel of Christ to the nations.
