The Silent Sabbath is over vs. 1, “When the Sabbath was past, Mary Magdalene, Mary the mother of James, and Salome bought spices, so that they might go and anoint him.” Mark 10:33-34; 45; 9:31-32; 8:31-32
The Signal of a new day had come vs. 2, “And very early on the first day of the week, when the sun had risen, they went to the tomb.”
The Stone has been rolled away vs. 3-4, “And they were saying to one another, “Who will roll away the stone for us from the entrance of the tomb?” 4And looking up, they saw that the stone had been rolled back—it was very large.”
The Sudden sight of astonishment vs. 5, “And entering the tomb, they saw a young man sitting on the right side, dressed in a white robe, and they were alarmed.”
The Surprising statement of the resurrection of Jesus vs.6, “And he said to them, “Do not be alarmed. You seek Jesus of Nazareth, who was crucified. He has risen; he is not here. See the place where they laid him.”
The Sure promise of God vs. 7, “But go, tell his disciples and Peter that he is going before you to Galilee. There you will see him, just as he told you.”
The Stirring reality of the moment vs. 8, “And they went out and fled from the tomb, for trembling and astonishment had seized them, and they said nothing to anyone, for they were afraid.”
“A new era dawns on Easter morning. The Christian church is birthed out of the empty tomb. For the good news that “He has risen” (16:6) has spread and continues to spread to the four corners of the world. For Christ is risen. He is risen indeed! So then, “go.” “Go [and] tell.” Finish the story.”

Application: How will you respond to the Resurrection of Jesus Christ who was dead but now has been risen from the dead? The Lord has removed every stone or obstacle in your path for this moment. Will you believe in historical account of the resurrection? Will you go and tell others what God has done to redeem sinful man?
